Gospel-Centered Kids Church in Morgan Hill & San JosE

At West Hills Community Church, we believe children have a powerful capacity to know and love God. That’s why we’re deeply committed to creating a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered environment where kids can grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and experience the transforming love of Jesus.

What to Expect on Sundays

Our Sunday Kids Ministry serves children from nursery through 5th grade with age-appropriate classrooms, gospel-centered curriculum, and warm, attentive volunteers.

Each child is checked in securely, loved personally, and taught faithfully. All children begin in the worship service with their families and are dismissed before the sermon.

  • Morgan Hill Campus offers classes during both 9:00 AM and 10:45 AM services

  • San Jose Campus offers classes during the 10:00 AM service

  • Parents are encouraged to arrive early for check-in and meet the volunteers

  • All volunteers are background checked and trained in child safety and care

  • We prioritize creating environments that reflect the joy of the gospel and the safety of a trusted community

  • Our nursery provides a clean, safe, and nurturing environment where infants and toddlers receive loving care while parents attend the main service.

    What we offer:

    • Age-appropriate toys and interactive play

    • Music, snuggles, and simple prayer language

    • Trained volunteers who love babies and understand child development

    • Strict safety protocols, background-checked workers, and secure check-in/check-out

    • A peaceful, comforting space that reflects Christ’s gentleness and care

We believe these early moments set the foundation for a child’s trust in God and His people.

  • In this active and imaginative stage, kids begin to connect God’s Word with everyday life. Children stay with families during the beginning of worship, then are invited to their classrooms for a dynamic, hands-on Bible experience.

    What we offer:

    • Engaging Bible stories told in age-appropriate language

    • Songs, movement, and worship time designed for young hearts

    • Themed crafts, memory verses, and interactive play

    • Emphasis on God’s character: loving, kind, powerful, personal

    • Caring teachers who help children feel safe, known, and included

We focus on building simple, foundational truths that kids will carry with them for years to come.

  • This stage builds on curiosity and relational development. Our elementary ministry is designed to engage children intellectually and spiritually as they begin to understand the storyline of Scripture and apply it to real life.

    What we offer:

    • Chronological, gospel-centered curriculum (The Gospel Project or similar)

    • Bible-based large-group teaching with worship and Scripture

    • Small group time for questions, discussion, and personal application

    • Activities and challenges that encourage Scripture memory, prayer, and serving

    • Opportunities for kids to see how Jesus is the center of every story

Each week, kids leave knowing more about God’s Word, more about His love, and more about how to follow Jesus in their everyday world — home, school, friendships, and family life.

What We Teach

West Hills Kids uses age-appropriate, gospel-centered curriculum to walk children through the big story of Scripture — from Genesis to Revelation — helping them see Jesus as the hero of every story.

Each week includes:

  • Interactive Bible lessons

  • Group worship and songs

  • Games, crafts, and memory verses

  • Opportunities for real-life application and prayer
