Living on Mission Locally and Globally

At West Hills Community Church, we believe that Jesus didn’t just call us to gather — He called us to go. Our mission is to make disciples who love God, love others, and invest in making more disciples — in our neighborhoods, our cities, and across the world.

Why We care About Missions

Missions isn’t a program — it’s a core part of who we are as a church. Jesus’ final words to His disciples were clear in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Our church participates in God’s mission through:

  • Global partnerships with missionaries and churches around the world

  • Short-term mission trips and outreach projects

  • Local outreach and evangelism in our neighborhoods

  • Supporting gospel-centered organizations that serve the vulnerable

  • Training and equipping believers to live as everyday missionaries

Global Missions

We support and send missionaries in places like:

  • Tijuana, Mexico – Home-building trips, Vacation Bible School, and cross-cultural ministry

  • Zambia, Africa – Long-term partnership supporting church planting and education

  • Southeast Asia & the Philippines – Evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development

  • Other unreached and underserved areas — supported through prayer, giving, and partnership

Short-Term Mission Trips

We offer annual trips designed to:

  • Serve churches and communities abroad

  • Expose participants to cross-cultural ministry

  • Strengthen partnerships with long-term missionaries

  • Build up teams through shared spiritual growth and service

Local Outreach & Evangelism

Missions starts at home. West Hills is active in sharing the gospel and serving the community in tangible ways through:

  • Service projects and neighborhood outreach

  • Partnerships with local nonprofits

  • Community groups and individuals living missionally in their circles of influence

  • Support for pregnancy resource centers, justice initiatives, and crisis care ministries

Every member of our church is encouraged to see their workplace, school, or neighborhood as a mission field.
