A Home for Generations
A new Community Life Center. A warm welcome for our church family. A home where generations can grow together in Jesus.

Our Family, Our Home
West Hills Community Church has a decades-long history of being both a family and a home. It is a place where generations gather to grow together in their relationship with Jesus. From our humble beginnings in the late 1940s as a small group of farm families who desired to pray and study God’s Word, to a now thriving congregation on two campuses, we have been able to witness God’s faithful work as the church has expanded into what we have today.
Those who call West Hills home know our values of worship, community, and mission, and see them lived out in the day-to-day activities of our church. With an unwavering commitment to disciple-making and Bible-based preaching, we are passionate about seeing every attendee of every age grow in their relationship with Jesus. God has blessed us with growing faith and a growing congregation.

Our Opportunity
Ministry is thriving at West Hills! Sunday attendance has increased 30% in the past three years.
We are blessed not only to have seen our members return after Covid, but to also see new families at our worship gatherings each week.

Our Children’s Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry regularly welcomes more than 100 kids each weekend. Our staff and volunteers are committed to helping children develop a personal relationship with God that will launch them into a life of faith. Our children’s ministry staff view their mission as two-fold:
by giving them the peace of mind that comes from knowing their children are being well cared for and their faith is being nurtured.
“There is so much potential for putting kids on the right trajectory, it is such a meaningful mission. I saw my kids learn biblical truth at West Hills from an early age, and it was so significant for them. Now, I love seeing it in this new generation of kids!”Louanne, Director of Children’s Ministry

Our Student Ministry
Our Student Ministry is also thriving, providing a physically and emotionally safe place for middle school and high school students to learn about Jesus. Wednesday nights are packed, with up to 85 students from a variety of backgrounds attending Student Ministry. Many are kids who have grown up at West Hills, but many are non-Christians who have been invited by their friends.
Each student who attends gets an opportunity to hear about the love of Jesus and to be grounded in biblical teaching. In a world that gives our teenagers so many messages, what could be more important than teaching them about Jesus and what a lifetime of following Him looks like?
Other Active Ministries
Our campus helps to extend faith in Christ into the community in many ways through other active ministries. Our Spanish Ministry meets faithfully each week. Mothering By Heart, our mom’s group, meets twice a month providing support and spiritual help for young mothers navigating the challenges of parenthood. Bible Study Fellowship regularly has 60 attendees every Thursday morning, and our West Hills Women’s Bible Study draws over 40 women.
In order to support these thriving ministries, we recognize that a significant investment in our facilities is not only needed, but long overdue.

Our Future
The Community Life Center
OUR VISION is to create a space that offers a warm welcome for each new visitor, that equips West Hills to continue the life-transforming work of sharing the Gospel with our world, and that serves as a home for us now and for generations to come.
To accomplish this vision, a building campaign to replace the ageing portables with a new permanent structure is needed.
The Community Life Center will be the new home for most of West Hills’ ministries, completely replacing our current portable buildings. Classroom space, a fellowship hall, kids ministry, space for the youth group, and more will all be housed in this new 12,000 sq ft building. The portable buildings have served us well for decades but, as one staff member put it, “We are constantly putting out fires. I want us to focus our efforts on teaching kids about Jesus, not on trouble-shooting problems.”
The portables are not only showing signs of wear, but have outlived their life expectancy by nearly 20 years, making further repairs a non-feasible option. The new building will be 3,000 sq ft larger than the portables, providing larger spaces for our ministries to grow into.
The building has also been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views we enjoy from our property, and to embrace an indoor-outdoor flow that allows for expanded ministry space during the majority of the year when weather permits.
Floor Plans

The First Floor
The first floor houses a large fellowship hall, which will be the center of community life at West Hills. This area will be the hub for fellowship time, Mothering by Heart, Bible Study Fellowship, Women’s Bible Study, and more. It will also have a small prep area that will support hospitality for all our gatherings and community meals. Additionally, it will host the space for our disability ministry and a large classroom for adult classes.

The Second Floor
The second floor is all about Children’s Ministry. We’re investing in the future of our church by providing larger and better spaces for all ages including nursery, toddlers, 2’s–3’s, Pre-K and Kindergarten, 1st–3rd grade, and 4th–5th grade.
For the first time in decades we will have a building that enhances kids’ experience and that allows staff and volunteers to fully invest in teaching kids, not worrying about the facility. Imagine the impact on new families of seeing a space that looks clean, safe, and inviting for their children!

All of Us, Together
After years of hoping and planning, the Lord is opening doors for us to step forward in faith.
We are blessed to have $3 million in the bank already, and with a pre-construction estimated cost between $8,500,000 and $9,000,000, we know it will require a high level of financial commitment from all of West Hills Community Church.
We are asking all members and attendees of West Hills Community Church to pray about their involvement, and to ask the Lord at what level He would like them to give over the next four years. As we also need to continue funding the operations of the church, we are asking all West Hills attendees to pray about making campaign pledges above and beyond their typical giving to the church.
We know this project is a significant step of faith for West Hills. We also believe we are here for such a time as this.
What will our children’s children say in 50 years? What legacy will we leave to the next generations? What might be the scale of what God will do beyond what we can ask or imagine?

Give NowFrequently Asked Questions
How long will construction take?
Construction is projected to take approximately 12–14 months depending on the weather and other construction variables.
Where will the children and youth meet during construction?
Our Kids and Student Ministries will continue meeting on site throughout construction in a temporary portable building located safely away from the construction zone. We will consolidate some Kids Ministry classes during this season, but we are committed to providing consistent, on-site discipleship for our children and students.
Will we lose parking with the new building?
With the approved plan we are projected to lose 33 spots, which still offers ample parking for our normal weekly use. Our hilltop location and the need to build on geologically stable ground makes this necessary. We plan to revisit parking solutions before any future Worship Center expansion.
What happens if we don’t raise all of the money needed?
Approval of our planned development gives us the ability to begin construction once the necessary funding is in place. We want to approach this project with both faith and financial wisdom, following Jesus’ instruction to first “count the cost” before beginning to build (Luke 14:28). Therefore, the results of this pledge campaign will help us determine the appropriate timing for breaking ground.
Our current design permit is valid through June 2028 and may be extended if needed. If the project is not fully funded within the timeframe needed for construction, we will carefully consider extending our permits to allow more time for fundraising and/or pursuing a potential private loan.
A warm welcome for each new visitor. A place to grow in Christ. A home for generations to come.
